Westmeath Rose 2012 representing Westmeath and launching Athlone Show 2012

The Athlone Show Committee are delighted to announce that Aisling Baker from Lissoy Glasson Athlone who is representing Westmeath in the Rose of Tralee finals this year will be launching Athlone Agriculture Show this year. Aisling a daughter of Noel and Michelle Baker and is in her final year as a student teacher at Mary Immaculate College in Limerick whilst also working part-time as a waitress. The 21-year-old is a member of her college drama society, has won two All-Ireland medals for ladies football, attended stage school for four years, and loves singing and dancing and has recently taken up tag rugby. She has appeared in many college stage productions and plays the piano, enjoys chatting, socialising, speaking Irish and traditional music. She has been involved with positive mental health promotion in schools around the Midlands since being selected, and hopes she is a positive role model for the young people she has had the privilege of working with.

The Athlone Show Committee are delighted that Aisling will be launching Athlone Agriculture Show 2012 and will be presenting various prizes to winners throughout the day. We wish her every success in the International Rose of Tralee Festival.
