H39: Qualifier - Irish Draught Breeders Championship
The Irish Shows Association and Leitrim Irish Draught Breeders presents the Leitrim Irish Draught Breeders Championship. Delivered by HSI and funded under National Breeding Services by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. Sponsored by Leitrim I.D. Horse Breeders Association. Entry fee to qualifying show €15 and to final €30. Final Mohill Show - SUNDAY 16th August 2026.
RULES AND CONDITIONS
1. This competition is open to animals with the breed code ID, registered in The Irish Draught Horse Studbook (or a harmonised Irish Draught Studbook) with recorded breeding.
2. Two animals may qualify for the final provided the judges feel the standard is high enough for an ISA Championship.
3. Exhibitors to both the qualifier & final must have their Mares passport available for inspection prior to entry to Judging Ring. Failure to comply with this rule will lead to immediate disqualification.
4. Passports & Microchips should be read by a Vet at the Final
5. One of the judges at the qualifying show must be a qualified Irish Draught Horse Judge.
6. Animals qualified to final are not eligible to enter any other class at Mohill Show other than qualifying classes for other ISA Finals.
7. The Qualifying Exhibitor must fill out their own Qualifying Card at each qualifying show. Completed card and entry fee must be handed into the secretary's office on show day.
These rules should be read in conjunction with the I.S.A Rules.
PRIZES 1st €1000 and the Central Motors Perpetual Trophy presented by Patsy Walpole, 2nd €500, 3rd €200, 4th €150, 5th €100, 6th €100, 7th to end €60 on appearance at the final.
