Killusty Pony Show – Small Hunter Championship Final
Rules for Small Hunter Championship 2025
1. Qualifying rounds will be held at designated shows.
2. The qualifying horse may be a MARE or GELDING, 4 years old and over. The horse must be over 148cms but not exceeding 158cms.
3. First and Second placed small hunters in designated shows may qualify for the final. In the event of 1st and 2nd being qualified, 3rd and 4th may go forward to the final.
4. Judge of the day must sign the qualifying entry form(s)
5. On completion of judging at qualifiers the successful qualifier will be given all relevant entry documentation by the ring steward. This must be completed and returned, along with the appropriate fee, to the secretary of Killusty Pony Show within 14 days - this rule will be strictly adhered to. Online entry will be available on itsplainsailing.com when entries open.
6. The rider must be 16 years and over on 01/01/2025.
7. Small hunters to be ridden in a Snaffle Bridle.
8. Horses will be judged on type, conformation, way of going, ridden performance and action in-hand.
9. Random Dope testing may be carried out on the day of the final.
10. Horse passports must be present on the day of the final.
11. Any objection must be lodged in writing with the show secretary within half an hour following the completion of the competition, together with €50 which is refundable if the objection is upheld.
12. Killusty Pony Show Committee, in consultation with the sponsor, reserves the right to amend the rules as may be deemed necessary.
Entry Fee to Final: €20 entry free + €10 insurance for Non-IPS members’ adult riders/owners
Prizes: Champion €250, Reserve €100
